We have extensive exporting and importing capabilities and supply timber into multiple international markets. We've been in the timber and building products business for 75 years and have developed a deep knowledge base.
It's important to remember our heritage. Our reputation was built on the West Coast, then Canterbury, by hardworking people. Our history and multi-generational expertise is part of who we are as an organisation today. We're dedicated to servicing the timber building hardware and construction industry in New Zealand and our export markets.
We operate a radiata pine specific sawmill and wood processing facility and source quality building products through successful, long term relationships with key local and international partners.
ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY
McVicars recognises and accepts our responsibility to the global environment, our staff and our customers. Timber processed is always from sustainably managed plantation grown renewable forests and the energy we use for our wood processing is carbon neutral. We are 100% committed to purchasing timber and logs from well managed, legal sources and will not source any species prohibited under the convention of international trade in endangered species.
CUSTOMERS
McVicars services a wide range of domestic and export customers including major New Zealand DIY hardware chains and many independent hardware operators. We know customer service is very important in this industry. That's why we focus on assisting our customers provide first class service to their customers. This means having knowledgeable staff available who are able to make decisions, holding extra stock on the ground so we can often despatch the same day, running our own fleet of delivery trucks and being willing to go that extra mile to get the job done.
Being responsive and able to move quickly is a key part of our service to our customers. We see ourselves as part of their team.
